When To Plant White Wild Flowers

One of the largest categories of flowers you will see when walking in the countryside or hiking in the wilderness are the white wild flowers. These flowers will bloom at different times of the year so you can enjoy watching the meadows of flowers gently blowing in the breezes throughout the growing season. If, instead of viewing them in the wild, you want to plant your own garden full of wild flowers, you will have to learn which ones will bloom for you at which times of year. That enables you to plant a variety of them and always have flowers blooming all the way through the growing season.

The first time that flowers may begin to come up is in early spring. That is in March and April. You may notice fields of white wild flowers like Penny Cress, Star of Bethlehem, Easter Daisy or Wild Plum. Then there are the spring flowers that bloom in May and June which are considered late spring arrivals. These include Elderberry, Rose Mallow and Watercress. Then in the summer months of July and August you can look forward to seeing Queen Anne’s Lace, Whorled Milkweed and White Sweetclover. The fall, September and October, will still bring new growth including White Sage, Heather Aster or Snow-On-The-Mountain. These white wild flowers are just a few that will be seen during the four growing seasons of wildflowers.

With so much to choose from if you are planning on setting up a garden full of white wild flowers it may take some time to sort through which ones you want to plant. One thing that would help is to take a little time and do some research to find out which ones will grow best in your climate along with the kind of soil your garden has. Then plant accordingly by organizing your garden in such a way as to allow there to be blooms all year around. This will not take too much investigating but will be worthwhile if you like to have flowers filling your garden. In this way you can enjoy white wild flowers for at least three quarters of the year.
